Dragi colegi,
Redăm mai jos invitația colegilor de la Glasgow la o sesiune de networking online, pentru a aduna cercetători din toată Europa care lucrează în domeniul cercetării legate de apă:
The Glasgow Water Cluster invites you to an online networking session, across the CIVIS networks, to bring together researchers across Europe, working on water-related research.
The Glasgow Water Cluster is a diverse community of researchers, from across all disciplines at the University of Glasgow, committed to delivering a multidisciplinary and holistic response to managing water security. Glasgow Water Cluster members reflect on, critically interrogate and address global challenges related to the sustainable management of water, in response to SDG6; ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all, encompassing access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene, as well as water quality and resource management.
Within the Horizon Europe 2025 Work Programme, Cluster 6 includes two Destinations with particular relevance to our work:
- Land, Ocean & Water for Climate Action – Climate and environmentally friendly practices to reduce emissions of major greenhouse gases, other pollutants and the environmental impact of ocean and land use changes and agricultural activities, including a focus on wetlands and peatlands.
- Resilient, inclusive, healthy and green rural, coastal and urban communities – Recognising that rural and coastal areas play a key role in protecting, managing, and using natural resources, increase our understanding of how complex change affects these areas, explore innovative policy responses to their challenges, and support bottom-up community-led innovation.
We would like to invite research colleagues from across our CIVIS partners to join us online, on 15th May 2025, for a chance to share current research agendas in these broad areas and participate in light-touch networking discussions to make new connections.
Please register via the following link Horizon Spring Session – Water for Climate Action & Coastal Resilience Tickets, Wed 14 May 2025 at 14:00 | Eventbrite.
Registrants will be prompted to let us know if they would like to present their research, and to pre-populate a Padlet tool with their areas of interest for discussion.
Queries can be sent to researchinitatives@glasgow.ac.uk at any time.
