Within the EVOSCO project (contact number 760238/28.12.2023, CF 162/31.07.2023, funded by the EU’s Next Generation EU through the Romanian National Recovery and Resilience Plan – Pillar III-C9-I8), a 4L Bioreactor was installed and commissioned during April 23-25, 2025, in the laboratory of Microorganism Genetics and Microbial Biotechnologies of the Department of Genetics, in the building of the Research Platform in Systems Biology and Ecology. It is an equipment that can simulate an industrial process at laboratory scale by tracking in real time the process parameters of microbial strain cultivation with biotechnological applications. Moreover, we have already initiated the first experiment, together with a second year MSc student at the Master of Applied Genetics and Biotechnology, Department of Genetics.
