CIVIS Call for Proposals for International Educational Activities – 2025

Dear colleagues,

We invite you to participate in the new call for projects launched within the CIVIS Alliance for the development of international educational activities.

Educational activities can be proposed in various formats, including:

  • Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs ) – programs combining online activities and short physical mobility for students.
  • Short-term physical mobility courses – physically organized intensive courses with a minimum duration of 5 working days.
  • Virtual mobility courses – Courses run entirely online, involving students from at least two CIVIS member universities.
  • CIVIS Open Labs – educational activities centered on solving real problems, in collaboration with civil society, business or local government.
  • Micro-programs – Combinations of several CIVIS courses (minimum 3), which together add a minimum of 10 ECTS and provide students with a structured and interdisciplinary learning pathway.

All activities must involve at least two CIVIS member universities and must be addressed to students (bachelor, master, doctorate) and/or people interested in Lifelong Learning.

Target themes

The proposed activities must fall under one of the five strategic themes (CIVIS Hubs):

  • Health
  • Societies and Cultural Heritage
  • Climate Change, Environment and Energy
  • Cities, Territories and Mobilities
  • Digital and Technological Transformations

Funding and Deadline

  • The selected projects may receive funding from CIVIS to cover organizational and mobility costs.
  • The deadline for proposals is November 15, 2025.

Support for identifying partners

Academics interested in initiating projects, but who do not yet have alliance partners, are encouraged to submit a brief description of their project idea. The responsible UB team can assist in identifying partners in other CIVIS member universities.
